REMEMBERING THE BEGINNING
A little about myself.
Hello, my name is Latoya, and I'm the proud owner of Free Life Expressions, a.k.a. JUST FLX.
Born and raised on the west side of Chicago. I grew up in a poor community called K-town. As a child, I have always found myself drawn to art and was known for my creativity throughout middle school. My imagination has always created new images from different shapes, lines, and textures, even natural elements such as branches. In my world, I see things differently, and I enjoy capturing the beauty of Art in all of its forms.
My passion for photography started back when disposable cameras were a thing and film had to be developed. Yes, I know a long time ago. I learned more about photography during junior college, where I obtained my AAS in Digital Multi-Media. I later earned my BA in Information Technology from Depaul University.
The journey to turn that passion into a career began in 2018 when Free Life Expressions LLC was established.
So, why the name? To me, Free Life Expressions mean "The power to express and create one's own life freely."
